52 Titles: William Faulkner’s “The Sound and the Fury”

No, just… no.

I tried to read a book narrated in first person by a mentally challenged 33-year-old man, but about 30 pages in, I realized I had understood none of what I’d just read, and that it wasn’t worth the $8 I paid. Sorry.

Why are you paying money at all? Public libraries, yo.

    Does that even count?

    I second Jess’s comment.

And read The Diving Bell and the Butterfly if you haven’t already. Short, brilliant read.

i mentioned it on twitter, but should as well point out here as well… i’m not counting this book in my tally. 30 pages hardly constitutes a read; i think i should finish at least 2/3 of any book if i want it to count.

also, yes, i do plan on getting a library membership. the problem is, half the books i want to read are fairly new releases. hanging on a waiting list for 6 weeks or whatever isn’t worth the trouble.
