This could honestly not be more picky, but soihetmng bothered me also about the reactions to Santana’s last k.d. lang song. It was definitely the best song of the night (and perhaps not irrelevantly so, the most appropriate to the plot and character development), don’t get me wrong. What bothers me is the individual characters’ reactions. OK, so maybe Kurt and Blaine would know OF the song. Like maybe they heard a remix once at the club. But the other characters? This is lang’s breakout song, set way back in 1992. Conceivably, some of these characters were unborn and/or a few years old at the time! I appreciate that it’s entered the same songbook as less important songs from Katy and Gaga and the like, but did we absolutely need the fake reactions from Finn and such? Again, totally picky of me to say, but it was noticeable. It’s a powerful song.

Why do people flip out about babies out of wedlock. Who cares if the parents are married. Isn’t the point of being a parent to raise a happy healthy child who will become a stable adult? As long as the kid is raised to be a responsible person who cares about marriage status?
